Kirigakure

Hidden Mist is one of the more powerful ninja villages in the world, allowing its leader to be called a "Kage." As such it is one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries. It is unknown if the country has any current alliances. Mist has drawn the country into many wars in the past. Under the leadership of the Fourth Mizukage, the citizens of the country blamed the constant strife on the powerful clan bloodlines in the region. For that reason they turned against the clans and wiped many of them out. It is unknown if any bloodlines remain active in the service of Hidden Mist.

"A disgrace."
"She's useless."
"What is she trying to prove?"

Kazumi held her head up high while she walked. She heard the whispers, but she didn't bother giving them a reaction. She knew they were talking about her, even though they thought she wouldn't know. She adjusted the hitai-ate around her neck and then the bandages that covered both of her eyes, but even with the fabric wrapped around her head, she walked forward in a straight line. She had no issues, despite the complaints that came from the villagers.

"Watch out!" 

Kazumi sighed softly at the warning. It was unnecessary. She easily made her way around the children who decided it would be funny to try and trip her. She turned and directed her face straight at them, giving them a look before walking away to the Mizukage's tower. He wanted to see her about something, but he hadn't specified what it was he wanted to talk to her about. Although, she had a good guess. Since she just recently became a genin, she was probably going to meet her team. She knew that the chances of her knowing them were slim, though, because she never spoke to anyone. No one wanted to talk to the 'blind girl'. Kazumi combed her long fingers through her black hair and adjusted her bandages again, making sure they covered her eyes, before she knocked softly on the door three times. "Mizukage-sama. You called for me?"

Was this it. Was this really the end this chapter of his life? His emotion was numb like always even though the situation called for a emotional response. "Adrani, order of Raijuta, Mizukage of the village hidden in the mist you now promote to jonin effective now. This the sentence completed an fellow anbu slowly remove Adrani's mask from his face . Adrani's eyes stared into his comrades mask . "This is goodbye for now my friend . We will meet again in this world or the next . An hand was place on his shoulder from another anbu ,"its time to go, the Mizukage has order to see you now with your new orders . An cloud of small mist surrounded Adrani and the anbu before they vanish .
Uppon arrival the was just sitting there in deep thought. Raijuta ? Of all people ,his brother he hasn't sen in 5 years now the Mizukage . He remember small fragments about him be they where both promoted. One to jonin and the other anbu ."Its been so long brother.. I see your dream is now a reality" then he remember who he was now and quickly bow on one knee with his head down." My apologies Mizukage.

"Demon," 

The words echoed through the man's lips as he backed away from the approaching shadow, his guards, his hired hands all murdered in different ways each time. All that was left was him, a high ranking noble within the mist..He paid taxes just like everybody else and yet in broad daylight this demon come after him, he shot to his feet and ran towards the door his eyes filled with fear. He stopped at the bottom of the stairs only seeing the shadow standing before him once again. He reached forward the shadows cold skin touched his own and like acid he felt the burning sensation as his face began to wither and decay before falling to the ground. He reached down where the man's body fell and begun digging his hand through the man's body allowing his skin to be covered in the man's blood before he shifted it upward allowing the blood to touch the walls and begin spelling death and demon on the walls with that he faded from the home leaving behind nothing else.

This was unexpected. Haku had expected to be sent straight to ANBU training, and instead, he had been assigned to a Genin team. He always expressed in the Academy that his goal was to be a Hunter-nin for the Village, and protect the Mist from it's own. He expected the instructor to recommend him for that training, but he supposed he was wrong. However, Haku would do as he was instructed for the sake of the Village. He made his way to the Hokage's Mansion and headed to his office, where he found Kazumi kneeling before the Mizukage. He recognized her from the Academy. Haku had always been friendly to everyone, but he and Kazumi had never once exchanged words. Also kneeling was the third party member (whom hasn't been decided yet) and a Jonin who he had never seen before. He could only assume this man was to be their instructor. Haku joined the three in kneeling before the Mizukage. "My apologies for being late, Godaime-sama"

Even after becoming Mizukage, Rai could never get used to seeing people bow to him. He didn't see it as necessary. As Mizukage, he was sworn to serve and protect the Village. It was just strange. And then, when the boy with the long hair addressed him, he shuttered slightly. He hated being callled "Godaime-sama." He was never intended to be the fifth Mizukage. That position was reserved for his older sister, Mei, who had passed in battle only days too soon. Their family was known to produce genuiuses, but she was the TRUE genius in the family, even moreso than him. As the group bowed to him, his eyes lay on the adult of the group first, He placed his hand on Adrani's shoulder "Rise to your feet, Nii-san." He said calmly. He would not allow his own younger brother to treat him so formally. Once Adrani had risen to his feet, Rai addressed the young ones. "Congratulations. You all are no longer students, but official ninja of the Hidden Mist Village."

He turned and took a step toward Adrani "This will be your Jonin instructor. You may address him as Adrani-sensei. Adrani. This is Haku, Kazumi, (and the third ninja, JD, you may want to consider playing him too.) As of today, you will be Team 9. Adrani, as of this moment, the team is under your command. I've left you a guide book, but keep in mind, it contains only guidelines. It's important that you apply your own personal style into your teachings. Dismissed!"

He spun the glaive one last time evening it out with the front of his body, he turned his sapphire blue eyes to gaze about the group of genin, he was different than them and they didn’t like that. His red hair blew swiftly in the wind a moment before the children all ran forward their various weapons pointed forward aiming at the red haired so called ninja. He spun the glaive forward so close to the ground tripping up two of the children as they ran forward allowing them to faceplant the ground in front of them, he spun around with the same fluid motion and slammed the blade of the weapon into the ground behind him and released a small burst of flame forth watching as the two kids were forced back from the force of the fire, he growled lightly as the four kids got to their feet and ran off from the fire village ninja. He sighed and turned around throwing the glaive over his shoulder and heading home, his metal boots echoing over the silence of the village. It didn’t take long for him to reach the door of his home and the mail box that held the letter from Mizukage it read something about meeting him in his office ten minutes ago. He turned tail and ran towards the mansion.

It took another good five minutes to get across the village and to the mansion where the mizukage rested, he stopped at the door of the mansion and pushed it open to see the party already taking place. The boy known as Haku, he was rather intelligent and very skilled as an assassin, the other he had never seen, his eyes reverted to the bowing man before shifting towards the Mizukage, he shifted to one knee and placed the end of the glaive into the ground scaling it up. He bowed his head to the man in power and then spoke.

“Im sorry I am late Mizukage sir, had a problem to deal with you wished to see me?”

A new voice.
Who is he?
What does he want with me?

Kazumi adjusted her bandages uncomfortably. She wasn't used to being around so many people, especially when there were people in the room she was unfamiliar with. Even after the Mizukage told her that one man was going to be her instructor, even after she was told Adrani-sensei was the Mizukage's brother, she still felt uncomfortable. She turned her blinded face to her sensei. What did he look like? Was he tense? Preparing for an attack? Or was he friendly, planning on turning them into skilled chunin? But more importantly...What did he think about her lack of sight? Her head then whipped back to the door that opened. Another new voice. She remained silent and 'looked' back up at the Mizukage as they were dismissed.

So this is my team...

His brother rose him from his knee with kind words . Adrani had plenty of squads under his control but nothing in a lower level like this before . This might be a little more difficult then expected. One was already late and that was already unacceptable in his eyes . Adrani didnt show no.emotion like always as he gotten his orders.
Dismiss.
(Wait) Adrani said in a cold tone , meet me at the top of the mizukage building in 5. He looks at the boy who was late with a cold burn and if your late i promise you will be recycled in the academy again ,i dare you be late. With those words said Adrani turn as a dark mist erase his body .
He stood on top of the mizukage building readind the bio on each one . One was blind ,he had a perfect technique for her is choose to learn it . The top genin yuki haku who individual was top of his class but as of teamwork he lack Which in Adrani's eyes he wouldnt last no longer then the knuckle head that wad late. Speaking of late they had 30sec to arrive on time before Adrani started the recycling paperwork.

Haku had remained silent throughout the pleasantly short meeting. He was preparing to leave upon dismissal, but the sensei quickly stopped the group. Of course he would want to meet with them privately. Haku should have expected it. But five minutes? Why were they given such a long time to arrive just upstairs? Perhaps to accommodate Kazumi? No... That couldn't be it. Haku had seen her performance in the academy, and her blindness could hardly pass for a handicap. Perhaps there was something slowing him down... He thought of the way their sensei had scolded their late comrade, who technically hadn't been his student at the time he was late. He was the strict type. He wasn't the type who would make excuses, even for one of his students. Haku decided not to ponder it any longer. A puff of smoke and he was gone, waiting on the roof for the arrival of the others.

Blaze simply allowed a sigh to pass his lips when the person he only assumed as his sensei spoke, he said they had five minutes to get to the roof and meet with the man. Unlike other ninjas from this village Blaze had no way of teleporting so to speak, he had actually failed on many of the factors of actually being a ninja as they called it but he excelled over everybody in the ways of tactics and leadership. Proving this several times by leading small groups to victories on small academy trials. Either way he turned towards the door and took off through it and up the stairs leading to the roof his steel boots echoing through the halls as he ran up them. It didn't take to long before he pushed the door open arriving where Haku and Adrani stood, he joined the group awaiting their last member, his green eyes focused upon their sensei for a moment before slipping to Haku, known only as the silent assassin known for his lack of speech but his excelled abilities at being the typical silent and deadly one. Their last member he had only heard of as the blind girl, He had heard her called many different things in school bullied much like himself, though most of his bullies ended up in the hospital wings and she remained silent for now they would have to make the perfect three man group.

5 Minutes
Is this a joke?

Kazumi almost laughed, but she managed to keep herself in check. Her body turned to mist, filling the room and clearing from the room moments later. And this was how she made her way to their meeting spot on top of the Mizukage building. She stayed, her mist hovering around the building like a cloud. She felt such relief in this form. With her body dissolved in the air like this, she could feel and 'see' every single thing her mist touched. She was no longer blind. Of course, the more dense her mist was, the clearer she could see.

As her mist moved around her sensei, she got a better picture of what he looked like. Although he couldn't feel it, it moved around him, giving her a mental picture of what he looked like. And when her third teammate finally showed up, she surrounded him as well, getting sense of what he looked like as well. It was then that she chose to make herself visible, the mist condensing into her human form. Her hand remained missing though, her wrist cloudy and unclear. That part of her remained as mist in the air, so she could see. She 'looked' up at her sensei. They all arrived within 30 seconds. What else did he want with them?

Two out of the three arrive less then five seconds . That was good timing , there was chakra change in the mist that wasnt his . It grasp his face with a tender touch . "So that's how she do it ". Then finally the third genin arrive. 1 minute . That is good timing but adrani still stood there like he as still counting down ,which he was. There haven't figure it out yet. There no longer individual genin no more . They are a unit, a squad , a team. That first rule was to arrive one time as a unit because in combat the mission is always first but we never leave a comrade behind.
2 minutes past and they still stood there waiting on orders. Even though they still had time Adrani pulled out the recycling forms and started to fill them out

The team had arrived at the top of the building. But Adrani had yet to give orders or speak up. He just stood there as if he were waiting something, As if they had not completed the task they were given. Their orders were simple; "meet me at the top of the mizukage building in 5." That much they had accomplished... So what were they missing? Kazumi, Blaze, and Haku had all arrived. So what was it... OF course! There was more information that he hadn't considered; The words of the Mizukage. "As of today, you will be Team 9." Each shinobi had arrived, but the team had not gathered. Haku placed himself between his teammates, and raised his hand into an honorary salute. "Team 9 reporting as instructed, Adrani-sensei"

He sighed lightly when they all arrived and waited, the seconds ticked by one after the other, minutes quickly to follow and yet their sensei still worked eyes on their papers and seemed to be filling out the return forms. Blazes eyes seemed to burn for a second like with a similar anger many warriors held before falling back to the cool and calculating of a tactician, when Haku stepped forward and saluted he followed suit placing the end of the glaive to the ground and folding both hands over it. He let Haku speak about them being a team before he nodded awaiting their senseis word.

Minutes ticked by, but she didn't move a muscle. Was he...waiting for something? They all gathered in under a minute, and yet he was already acting as if they had done something wrong. She thought for a moment, but then it clicked. So he waited 2 minutes...for them to announce themselves as a team? Sure, working as a team was important, but was that really necessary? After all, Kirigakure wasn't exactly known for its camaraderie.

In fact, it's the exact opposite.
Cold-blooded killers, some of us.

Kazumi opened her mouth to say something, but then Haku stepped forward, saying what she didn't get the chance to say. She sealed her lips once more before raising her hand silently in a salute to her sensei.

Adrani waved the salute off. "Congratulations on becoming genin and welcome to squad 9 I am Adrani and as yall may figure out I am a new jonin. But enough about me lets see if your even worth being called genin . Test 2 out of 2 my favorite part . Getting to know your squad first hand .
Adrani slowly reach for the mask that stayed in his side pocket and place it on his pale face . The mask was a falcon shape a.k.a anbu instructor .
He slowly folded his arms and look at the three like they where targets now . "Forbidden jutsu laval style gonu mist . Like hidden mist jutsu it cover the playing field with ease with black mist but there was another effect to it . The main reason it was forbidden.they would find out later if they though Adrani's test .

No time wasted... Adrani was brutal, as was expected of a Mist ANBU. No instructions. He just went straight on the attack. "Move!" Haku exclaimed. He may not have been an expert on this jutsu, but he knew one thing. Black mist was NOT something you wanted to inhale. Not only that, but he had heard of Laval Style. It was something passed down the Mizukage's clan. A Kekkei Genkai that could melt virtually anything. Haku retreated to the side of the building, where the gas would not follow. In only a few moments, it would naturally rise into the air, but Haku couldn't wait for that. Standing on the side of the building, he held two fingers in front of his face, and gathered a greater amount of chakra in his feet. "Wind Style: Localized Tornado" Haku immediately began spinning around in rapid circles. the wind picking up around his body until it formed a tornado around him. He usually used this technique to move at a rapid speed without using his mirrors. But it had another purpose. The tornado began to pull the mist toward itself, where it would circle around Haku with the wind, but never actually reach the inside. The Mist that wasn't captured, was instead blown away. and once it had all been gathered, Haku would jump out of the "eye" of the storm. Now that the roof was now clear, hopefully one of his teammates could find an opening. Haku would need a moment to prepare his counterattack.

Lava Style black mist. He had heard about that style from some of the people around the village, it had its reasons for being forbidden an even he knew that. The black mist danced around their three man group and extended to over the mizukage tower covering all of them in the dark colored mist. His voice echoed across the mist Haku echoed his voice move, or run or something like that...He slipped back stepping to the edge of the tower and shifted both of his hands along the pole of the glaive and slipped it in front of him even with his body just as the black mist faded allowing his eyes to adjust to the new sights around him searching for their sensei he had to fight him to keep him off Kazumi and Haku since it seemed they were probably a bit more ranged than him. He stepped forward once again and closed his eyes listening to every sound that surrounded them, he pinpointed each individual sound knowing that to catch Adrani it would take work.

Kazumi's body immediately dispersed. Although she couldn't quite see the black mist, she knew it was there, and she knew what it did. She lingered at the edge of the building, startled when her mist was pulled by Haku's movements. She easily moved back to where she wanted to be, but she now knew that the area was clear of the black mist. She grinned to herself, although no one could see it.

She moved in, mist condensing into the shape of her body. This time, it was her left leg that remained missing, although it seemed that she could run just fine. Chakra gathered around her hand, creating a very sharp scalpel that extended from her hand. Kazumi aimed her hits at very precise points on his body. She was aiming for his vitals. She was aiming to kill, although her chakra control wasn't perfect. She couldn't make her cuts only internal. Her cuts would cut through his flesh as well.

But I guess I'm fine with that.

One defended, one was pinpointing his location and the other attack with the intentions to kill. This was an good start for him . They figure out a roll to play and didn't even complain about it. But if they even thought for an second this trick was even going to work then maybe they forgot what village they where in . Kazumi's attack made contact with adrani. Adrani's eyes slowly lid up before his weaken body gave in and hug kuzumi's neck to hold him up. His mask was by her ear so he knew she could hear him clearly with his dying breath. "Good as a mist ninja we dont hesitate to kill . We just do what we are told no questions ask . I like how you didn't even think twice about killing your own instructor when I attack . But...... im not even warmed up yet and your in a world of hurt ". After those worlds where spoken Adrani slowly start to melt laval on the female genin. This could cause second or third degree burns on the female before it melted through her gentle skin and erasing any evidence she was even here . As expect they was too worry about the effects of the black to detect to switch
Adrani didnt waist no time showing his face next to blaze with his hands still folded . A sound was not made ,we as mist anbu are trained to not make a sound , leave a sent , or to leave a trace they where ever even there. So this kid who was looking for a trace of me would fail his task. In a flash a kunai was aimed at his neck . it was so close if the genin took a semi deep breath it would penetrate his skin and Adrani would finish him off on the sight of blood.
Now haku had to make a choice, either save blaze or Kazumi. Or save both if he thought he was skilled enough but be warned one mistake they both would die and the blood would be on haku's hands

Haku didn't have time to support Kazumi or Blaze immediately. He had to prepare his counterattack, which would take at least ten seconds. He had to trust that his teammates would be able to hold sensei off until that point. Haku did, of course, keep up with what was happening up there though. Kazumi was on the attack, and Blaze was searching. For what? Perhaps he had realized that Sensei had switched with a clone... Regardless, Haku had a plan that could possibly secure their victory, or at least impress Adrani-sensei. When he was young, Haku discovered his ability, without any formal training. And he had learned something special in it's use. A special property about water was it's ability to absorb. A mass of water from the air... Haku used it to absorb the black mist that he had gathered in one place. It took only a few seconds for the water to soak it up, taking on a black color of it's own. But this wouldn't be enough. He couldn't just splash Adrani with it. Water wasn't aerodynamic enough to make it to it's target before he could react. Not only that, but there was no guarantee that contact with his skin would be enough to do the necessary damage. Still hidden away from the main battleground, Haku faded further from view, awaiting the ideal moment where Adrani went from a defensive position to an offensive. That was when he would strike. Larynx, Spine, Juggular, Heart, Lungs, Liver, Subclavian Artery, Thorax. The 8 Vital points on the body. Just when the Jonin dropped his guard to go on the attack, 63 needles made of black ice would jettison toward these points, as a clone of Haku used the substitution jutsu to remove Kazumi from the grasp of the Lava clone. Naturally he couldn't prevent her from receiving any burns at all, but the severity would be decreased, and hopefully she would be able to continue fighting. Instead, a small statue of the Mizukage would stand in her place, recieving the brunt of the traps damage. Hopefully, Haku's attack would prove successful, preventing the attack on Blaze from making contact, and proving the group capable of holding their own in battle. After all, if they could survive against a full fledged Jonin, they must have at least some talent as shinobi...

There was something about the way Adrani moved when Kazumi attacked he saw it, just barely upon his small face eventhough the both of them seemed hidden Blaze had a keen sense for battle in general that is what allowed him to pass the academy, he knew where Haku was and in the same instance where Kazumi and Adrani were. When Kazumi's weapon of choice went through their sensei he pulled the unexpected Blaze dropped to one knee laying the weapon of his choice so it hung slightly off one edge of the building, he did this more or less to avoid the attack from the Adrani that appeared before him. He couldnt see the man, their teacher before him but he could feel him simply from the cold feeling that danced through the air slightly throwing off the heat that surrounded Blazes body, he waited until he felt that change in temperature before he shifted his body and shimmied to the side keeping the polearm at his side sliding along the ground. He waited for Haku's attack to shoot forth before he moved to the side of the assassin known as Haku and his other member shifting his body back to a standing position, he raised the polearm so it was at an angle in front of him the blade pointed upward towards the sky. He had to play the role to give the two of them time and that would mean placing himself directly in harms way to defend the two assassins so they could strike.

Kazumi hissed as the lava burned her skin, only adding to the scars that already riddled her body. Even after Haku's clone took her away, some of it lingered on her skin. Thankfully, he had gotten her away before it got any further than the first few layers of her skin. Her body faded into mist again, leaving the lava to drop to the ground. Since her body was broken up, it relieved the pain as well, but she knew she would feel the full impact once her body came back together. She appeared a few yards away from Haku, wincing slightly as the pain came back full force. She examined her wounds for a moment, but decided quickly that immediate treatment wasn't necessary. She gathered chakra in her hands again, this time, scalpels extending from each of her fingers. She then focused her complete attention to where her teammates and sensei were. Because she was a short-ranged fighter, she would have to look for an opening. To her relief, it seemed neither of her teammates were having too much trouble at this point.

But then again, neither is Adrani-sensei...
