Soul Society

This is home and base for the Shinigami who do battle against Hollow and other threats to humankind.

We where taut to live by the sword, to be one with our weapon as our weapon would become one with us. To unleash a power to protect the humans like guardian angels from the hollows. But they never taut us how to embrace death. That we where protecting a race of people that where so ignorant, so heartless that it turned my stomach with sickness. In my eyes they deserve to be in the food chain,better yet erase.
These where the thought that was racing though his head while he was dismantling his own squad one by one. they put up a good fight, pleading for there leader to be reason able while attempting to take his life. He trained them well, but there power was no match against him. The emotion of sadness didn't appear on his face, but a tear of blood replace the pain that was place on his heart.
(It has been done) he said to himself before walking down the lane of fallen bodies. He knew there screams of pain trigger a alarm but the question is who will show up to attempt to stop him?

A calm and peaceful night it was supposed to be... A full moon. No sign of abnormal trouble in months. Soul Society had been enjoying quite an era of peace. And it was just the thing it needed. Gryphon sat atop the Squad 7 Barracks, enjoying the peace and quiet. Or, at least that's what he expected to enjoy. However, his ears couldn't help but tune in to a very familiar sound... The sound of swords clashing. Could someone be sparring this late at night? And why would they be sparring with their real swords? The immediate questions that came to mind. However, on a night such as this, it was only natural that he tune it out. That was, until he heard the sounds of screaming in the distance... Something wasn't right. There was something going on in Soul Society that wasn't the norm, and now it was Gryphons duty to discover what it was. Grabbing his blades, Gryphon headed off in the direction from which the sounds had come. It didn't take long for him to arrive at the front gate of Squad 2. From the gate, all seemed normal. The screams had stopped and everything, but Gryphon wasn't convinced that all was normal.

He pushed open the gate to see a sight no Captain should be forced to see. The bodies of Shinigami, strawn all over the place; bodies covered in blood. Some missing limbs or even heads. The grotesque sight enough to make him look away for only a moment, he then began to walk through the path of bodies, deeper into Squad 2 territory. The path went on continuously, and it seemed there were no survivors. What had happened here? But it wasn't long before his answer arrived. He turned a corner to see Guiko finish off the last of his subordinates. His grip tightened on his blades as he witnessed this, his fellow Captains back to him. "Coward..." He said, his voice low, but full of rage. "You don't even have a Vice-Captain... No one who stood a chance of protecting these soldiors!" The calm, quiet Gryphon was almost never seen yelling, much less with tears in his eyes. But what could you expect after he witnessed something like this? "You'll pay for this..."

(coward) was the only word that grab his attention after dismissing that last of his men from this society. The sound of sadness and rage couldn't be contain from Gryphon's voice. Guiko glance toward the fellow captain with a cold stare and a unreadable facial expression before speaking ( Coward, if the roles where switch I would mostly said the same thing. But I'm not a fool like you, your angry , its interfering with your judgement knowing that your fighting a stronger opponent and your chances of winning is slim to nothing. But I wont be your reaper today. )
With his blade still in his hand Guiko pointed it towards Gryphon( let me show you a trick I just learned. ) with his blade glowing red he slowing started to cut between the soul society and the land where Hollows where place. Mindless beast they where rushing in the society wanting to feast upon anything that was alive. Guiko made another slash between soul society and earth realm and walked towards it. Now Gryphon had a choice to make chase down Guiko or find a way to protect the soul soceity and close rhe space rip

There was some truth in Guiko's words. Gryphon WAS impaired by emotion. After all, Guiko was one of the few he had considered a friend in Soul Society. However, Gryphon was a Captain, and to believe that he would allow his emotions to come between him and the justice that these Shinigami so rightfully deserved would be a harsh underestimation on the part of Guiko. A short chuckle broke through the rage in Gryphons voice in response to Guiko's statement. "My reaper, eh?" He asked. Guiko knew well of Gryphons twin Zanpakuto, and their abilities. He could only take the word "Reaper" as a joke. "Let's just see about that." It was then that Guiko exposed his new technique, which was horribly similar to his own. He said nothing in response, however. Instead releasing his Shikai. "Reap from Beyond, Xanther, Triphor!" The handles of his blades turned to objects similar to metal wristbands, while the blades turned to scythes, which extended above his hands. A punch from Gryphon with his released blades was deadly, but even more dangerous, was their ability. Almost identical to the Technique Guiko had used, they were capable of tearing through dimensions, making them capable of being virtually anywhere at any given time.

Raising both scythed arms in front of him at once, he began to swing each one systematically. His left arm tore through the space within the Soul Society, tearing through the Hollow one by one, and closing them off afterward. With his right arm, he took a risk. His bladed arm extended out of the portal that Guiko was walking toward. This was a risk because he was literally tearing a hole in a dimensional portal through this action. If he wasn't careful, it could result in the combustion of the space. The punch was simply to prevent Guiko from walking forward, however, not an actual attack. "Do you really believe a Captain can be held back by a few Hollow?" His voice had regained it's calm. "You greatly underestimate me, Guiko." He retreated his arm from the portal and looked on at his old friend. "Why did you do this?"

Unlike Gryphon's twin blades Guiko's weapon didn't shift into a different form. Of couse Guiko knew a horde of hollows couldnt stop a captain of his talents or escaping wasn't going to be so easy, so why didn't his old time friend see this trap coming? Xero, the name of his zanpakuto started to let off a crimson red color once more but instead of cutting through demesion it bend the space around him causing Guiko to disappear from sight. The location he presented himself was a couple of feet behind gryphon ,but far enough that his twin blades couldnt reach him.
(why am I doing this, because I refuse to be a weapon for a race that realise on fear and power . You seen there ignorance first hand. They all deserve to be erase , is that simple. ) xero started to slowly decelerate into red feathers. ( Bankai: Xero zone) This would be the second time he used it but the first time a captain seen it first hand. A dome appear wide enough to sallow 3/4 of the second squads barris. In this area his opponent sense of smell,sight, and hearing was eliminated . Guiko's heart was already filled with death for today , looking at his old friend blinded from xero's effect he slowly walked away and enter the portal of earth. With guiko now gone Xero's effect wore off and vansion with Guiko.

No response... But then, that probably wasn't a surprise to Guiko. Gryphon was never much of a talker. He was an observer. He didn't move as Guiko appeared behind him. The distance was a safe one. It was clear that Guiko had no intention of attempting to kill him at the moment. He took in every word from his old friends mouth, and evaluated them, analyzing and attempting to decode, but it all seemed too random. Who had planted these thoughts in his head? "Ignorance is erased through education, not eradication..." Gryphon finally spoke up. But it was too late for compromise or talking. Guiko would be wanted dead or alive at this point. There was nothing Gryphon could do to prevent that. Then came a technique Gryphon had never seen him use. "Bankai..." He said. He knew Guiko was capable of using one, but He had never needed to. So Gryphon had never seen it. His eye acted out an irritated twitch as he was robbed of his senses. However, it suddenly faded, and he found that Guiko had fled. "Dammit..." He said. He had no time to ponder any of this. His first priority was to report this to Captain Commander. He took off, leaving the Barracks, and Heading for the Captain Commander Chambers. After making a full report, he was commanded to prepare for war. There would be a Captains meeting in the morning. That was the last answer he wanted, but exactly the one he expected. Guiko had massacred hundreds of Shinigami, afterall...
